An Interesting Story — Reason to Hope — A Little Humor

Here we go:

This is very interesting. After centuries of playing “Catholics vs Protestants” for political reasons, the ever-resourceful Republicans decided that the Catholic bros were their means to control certain minds (in spite of the fact that many religious groups tended to be anti-catholic). Now, they all cheer the Pope (well, not the last two). But — they only cheer as long as HE supports authoritarianism. That worked for a while for the Fascists anyway, and now appears to be working for Russia and Project 2025. Politics does indeed make strange bedfellows, doesn’t it?

But in this photo, we see a sign in the sky (sort of). It shows a flag pole offered by a Ukrainian supporter. First: the California flag, then the Ukrainian flag, and lastly; a banner for the Holy catholic Church (that actually means “universal church” — bet you didn’t know that).

This sight is a welcome sign of sanity in a fractured world. It might even put an entirely new definition on the nutty rapture mis-interpreters. Can you imagine? Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, Robert Welch — and I’m sure you can think of others to add to this very incomplete list. the Revelations-happy nut cases, et alia — staring dumbfounded at the fact that they are the last ones left after everybody else ascends to the sky? Almost makes you wish you could be there to see it, doesn’t it?
