I like the way this starts. I'm hoping that if I feel the ground with my bare feet (if I can find a spot without goats heads and/or ants), I will know that we will return to a society that values the planet we live on.
Patricia, I don't know what goathead soil is. My problem is an invasive plant whose seeds have thorns, and regularly end up stuck to the soles of my shoes because they grow all over the neighborhood. I happen to know that goathead soil is hard to find but it does exist — and you could always substitute sandstone for dirt — it was once! 👏
